Dear orchestra families,
This is just a reminder about our annual district wide string festival, Chocolate Symphony #3, on Saturday, February 23rd.
Performance schedule (students should arrive at AHS room 181 30 minutes prior to performance time for warmup and tuning)
12:00 5th grade
12:50 6th grade
1:40 HS Philharmonic
2:30 7th grade
3:20 HS Chamber
4:10 HS Sinfonia
5:00 8th grade
Also, if your student has not brought in the requested donation item, please make sure this is brought to Mr Martin or Mrs. Willett by this Friday. Here is a reminder for what your students should bring:
5th grade violins: one package of chips ahoy (or similar type cookies)
5th grade violas, cellos, basses: one package of Oreos (or similar type sandwich cookies)
6th grade violins: one box of vanilla wafers
6th grade violas, cellos, basses: one box of graham crackers
7th grade violins: paper plates
7th grade violas, cellos, basses: one package of disposable cups
8th grade (all): one bag of mini candy bars
HS Sinfonia (all): one package of rice crispy treats
HS Philharmonic violins: one bag of marshmallows (not mini)
HS Philharmonic violas, cellos, basses: one package of paper napkins (200 count or comparable)
HS Chamber (all): one bag of pretzels
Students are expected to dress nicely, (no tshirts, jeans, tennis shoes, etc) but are not expected to wear black and white concert attire.
Admission cost is $5 for adults and children 6 and over. Cost for Seniors 60 and over and veterans is $3, and children under 6 and performers are free.
